These two dumb motherfuckers admitted on (streaming) TV, to Judge fucking Judy that they were buying/selling food stamps for cash. I’m just a retailer that happens to accept food stamps and I’m beyond well aware that this practice is illegal as the state mails out a ‘reminder’ of the rules at least once a year. I assume that recipients receive similar reminders.
Anyway, they’re talking to judge judy about whatever civil thing they have going on between them and somehow get to the topic of buying/selling food stamps. Now the State of Wisconsin is after them. One of them is being charged with 1 count of Knowingly Traffic Food Stamps, 5 counts of Unauthorized Use of Food Stamps and 4 counts of money laundering, the other one is charged with trafficking food stamps.
Say what you will about whether or not they should be allowed to sell these, but the stupid part was admitting it to Judge Judy.
Also, my WAG is that Judy ratted them out to the state.
