Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

The thing that gets me on stories like this is what level of desperation does it take to look at a catalytic converter, and say “there’s gotta be something in here I can smoke?”

That’s one way to avoid being sent back to Russia.

From the article:

"“But with bombe, it calms you down, you get tired, you stay somewhere standing up or sitting down for a very long time.”
“Users mix the crushed honeycomb with vitamin pills and typically add sleeping tablets, sedatives”

Gee, you mix it with sedatives, and it makes you tired, you say? What happens if you don’t use crushed catalytic converter?

Again: “but nothing is known about how it works, or its long-term effects,”

Just like whiffing paint, glue or smoking banana peels, the stupid confuse hypoxia and/or brain damage for a “high”.

So then it’s stone soup.

If you’re trying to dispose of evidence that is easily dispersed, ensuring its container is properly sealed before attempting disposal would help.

During the chase, the woman tried to throw a large bag of meth out of the window. However, it wasn’t tied and most of the drugs blew back inside the car, authorities say.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw says Marjorie Taylor Greene is either ‘a Democrat - or just an idiot’ amid COVID-19 testing spat (msn.com)

Dan Crenshaw is a dick and an idiot.

I might pay to watch those two box it out.

A guy in Poland was arrested for not wearing a mask. Turns out there was a warrant for his arrest for a murder he allegedly committed 20 years ago.

I knew the new, “Democratic” mayor of New York was an asshole, but it didn’t take long for him to show it.
He said that low skills workers like Dunkin Donuts workers, dry cleaners workers, etc., should be working so they can support the office workers, because they don’t have the skills to be office workers.

If I’m wanted for murder, I’m the first one putting on a mask!!!

The linked article has a second layer of assholery, where he complains that he “needs” to get white-collar workers to come back to the office so they can patronize businesses near their workplaces. Well, yeah, and buggy whip manufacturers “needed” the horseless carriage to be a flash-in-the-pan fad, but that didn’t work out so well for them.

17-y/o lad wanted the jab. His parents were opposed. This did not happen in the classroom, it was outside the school. And, as for being unqualified, she is/was a biology teacher. So, I think the people that had her arrested are some seriously stupid MFers.

I’ve known several high school biology teachers. Many of them were seriously stupid MFers, so I wouldn’t necessarily trust one to inject me with anything, much less a vaccine.

Sure, the parents are being total idiots for not vaccinating their child, but it is totally reasonable to object to an untrained, unlicensed person administering medical care, much less administering a controlled substance that was obtained illegally.

She could have helped the 17 year old get the vaccine without administering it themselves. There are multiple stupid MFers in this story, regardless of whether their hearts were in the right place.

Have to agree. Biology undergraduates get exactly zero medical training under normal circumstances. Not that giving an intramuscular injection is hard. Any half-intelligent person can do that properly. But what would that biology teacher have done if that kid had gone into anaphylaxis?

No, her actions were unacceptable - this isn’t like a pregnant teenager getting an abortion at a clinic without parental consent. It’s closer to a pregnant teenager getting an abortion in someone’s rec room without parental consent. The parents are idiots, but that teacher did cross the line.

Stupidity is an unlimited resource. There’s enough to go around.

Absolutely.

Did they check medical history first? Contraindications? Medications they’re on or allergies?

This was presumably one of the mRNA vaccines. So was it stored and prepared correctly? If it’s been out of deep freeze for too long, it shouldn’t even have been given. And did they properly log the batch in case it turned out bad later? It couldn’t have been obtained legally, so how did they know it was even what they thought it was or safe to administer?

The medical training required to be able to give vaccines isn’t exactly rocket science but it’s more about what happens when things go wrong, which in a few rare cases may not even be obvious for weeks or months after.

I haven’t bothered to look, but I am sure there are now people claiming, “This is what the left in our schools are doing to our kids!”

I wonder how many will somehow blame it on Critical Race Theory.

According to the article, they think she gave him J & J, which is not a mRNA vaccine.

I agree, despite in not being an mRNA.

This was a shitty thing to do. We shouldn’t brush it off, and give her a pass, in my opinion. That’s something they do.
