I’m not entirely certain, but it sounds to me as if they couldn’t get enough people interested in joining it or supporting it, so they gave it up. No grit.
As I’ve posted here a few times, today’s republicans insist the ballots which voted in Biden are false and the ballots which voted them into office are legitimate. The simple fact that they’re the very same ballots does not deter them from their insistence. It’s Schrödinger’s election!

I suspect the moment has passed. Covid mandates are yesterday’s news, restrictions are being lifted and everyone’s moved on to the war.
I’m sure a lot of MAGA truckers thought “hell yeah!”. Then some reality hit:
- They have to own their own tractor and trailer or be charged with some level of theft;
- I imagine all/most owner/operators are running close to the bankruptcy line. They might be able to go a couple of days/weeks between jobs, but driving from Colorado to DC and back empty entirely on their own dime for fuel is a hell of hit.
The mere fact that two (three) of you (us) know this song should be good for a 10% hike in SDMB ad rates.
