I am vaguely hoping to score some points off Mohammed Saeed al Sahaf in the death pool, as Baghdad Bob himself lives on, in Bahrain or some place like that there.
So is this the demise of the Freedumb Convoy, or only one segment? I confess that I haven’t paid much attention to it, partly because I have more important things to address, and partly because the whole project makes a frat party look like the epitome of organization.
(Anyway, how can it be considered a “convoy” if it doesn’t include eleven long-haired Friends of Jesus in a chartreuse micro-bus?)
I’m not entirely certain, but it sounds to me as if they couldn’t get enough people interested in joining it or supporting it, so they gave it up. No grit.
As I’ve posted here a few times, today’s republicans insist the ballots which voted in Biden are false and the ballots which voted them into office are legitimate. The simple fact that they’re the very same ballots does not deter them from their insistence. It’s Schrödinger’s election!
I’m sure a lot of MAGA truckers thought “hell yeah!”. Then some reality hit:
They have to own their own tractor and trailer or be charged with some level of theft;
I imagine all/most owner/operators are running close to the bankruptcy line. They might be able to go a couple of days/weeks between jobs, but driving from Colorado to DC and back empty entirely on their own dime for fuel is a hell of hit.
