I can relate to this. On the rare sunny day I liked to take my lunch to a nearby park, sit at a picnic table and read a book. A park employee came up to me, asked for my ID and said that a woman complained that I was casing her children. I replied that I took my glasses off to read, and without them I couldn’t see the other end of the table let alone her children. The employee apologized and asked if I would please move to another location. After the second time this happened I quit going to the park altogether.
This was in the late '70s - early '80s, and I imagine it’s only gotten worse (especially among a certain sector of the population).
According to a few sources cited by The Drive, locals say the driver of the Bronco was doing donuts in the sand, which goes a long way toward explaining how they got stuck in the first place.
Speaking of the convoy, they were allegedly here in Sacramento today. The only way I knew they were here was because people on r/Sacramento were complaining about the horns honking and the organizer said they needed to stop or their protest permit would be pulled.
There is no mention of them on the local news.
Also, apparently they’re camping some 40 miles outside of the city.
