Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

For now, but maybe not much longer.

I’m trying to imagine this.
So, one hand is grasping both an ET handle and a bag of twizzlers, while the other hand occasionally reaches over to grab another piece to maow down on? Do you go through a whole bag? I’m seeing something maybe counter-productive here.

Alas, it’s only one Twiz-worth. And it’s just an iconoclastic prop… but it’s also become one of my motivators to go work out.

“But it’s yucky out, and I didn’t sleep well, and… ooh, but I’ll get a Twizzler!”

One of today’s Nick Adams blatherings:

TL,DR: He sucked.

Damn, this getting old. I was just reading or watching something recently where menthol cigarettes were banned. Oh, it was Kevin Can F+ck Himself. So, Massachusetts, I guess.

Gotta be some variation on Poe’s law happening here.

This account has to be parody/satire. He can’t possibly be seriously making all these outrageous, over-the-top, claims.

I was wondering about that too, but when the inverted shmuck comes up with stupid books (oh and covers - yeah), I’ll opt with “means it”.

ETA - nice blurb…

It’s kind of creepy how people kept affirming how great he was in the past. His ego was huge from the very beginning, it seems.

Not even Jesus had a more perfect birth.

“These three wise men, very rich, came to me in the manger with tears in their eyes and said “Sir….””

Students in Louisiana were promised a “career fair,” instead got sexist evangelical preaching.

Brett Favre. Once a football legend, now just a low life, money grubbing piece of shit.

for those unaware, Favre and some low life political hacks misdirected welfare funds, for the poorest residents in the poorest state, to build Favre’s daughter a Vollyball court at at a college. Then lied about knowing anything about it.

And he could have funded this thing from the change on his nightstand, the rich puke.

To be honest, I’m kind of wondering why a dedicated volleyball center is needed anywhere, especially at a university in one of the poorest states. Can’t volleyball competitions occur in a multipurpose athletic facility?

I would think that if they have a basketball court, it would be very simple to have it double as a volleyball court. Easy peasy to do. Hard to play at the same time though I would like to see that. :grinning:

Isn’t that Quidditch?

Yeah, unfortunately the seasons overlap. You occasionally get dual-sport college athletes that do both, but it means missing games in one or another.

how the hell do you delude yourself to think this wouldn’t get noticed?

stop giving me ideas

• There are 5 players on each team:
• 2 volleyball players
• 1 basketball defensive and 2 offensive players on each side
• The court is deeper than a volley court and wider than a basketball court
• The net is 18" high and 5’ tall (6.5’ at the top)
• Players must stay on one side during each play
• The volleyball players may only strike the ball (hit it in the air) and the basketball players may only catch, dribble, pass and shoot to the basket; the volleyball players are allowed to defend the basket by deflecting the ball but must not let it hit the floor.
• Basketball players may pass to the other side only under the net.
• Baseline service by a volleyball player, across the net, which cannot be caught off the serve by a basketball player.
• 1 point for a volleyball drop (side-out scoring), 2 points for a basket, 3 points for a volleyball hit into the opposing basket (across the net).
• Contact is very limited.
