Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

Not to mention the frequent flyer miles!

which you could easily use to fly (one-way) to the carribean after the crime - so nobody will ever find you!!!

… don’t you love it when the perfect plan comes together?

Former Canadian Olympian Jamie Sale says that all vaccinated non-Christians should be hanged.

It’s always a bit concerning when public figures call for the death of others, and justify it based on their “Christian” faith. It’s like they are unaware of this Jesus guy and what he said and stood for.

This lady is not wired right.

“The whole image is that eternal suffering awaits anyone who questions God’s infinite love. That’s the message we’re brought up with, isn’t it? Believe or die! Thank you, forgiving Lord, for all those options.”

Bill Hicks

The SEC has fined the Mormon Church $5 million for using shell companies to hide its investments.

That’s like if you or I got caught hiding $32,000 and it was just a $5.00 fine.

If that’s all you have at stake, it’s almost financially irresponsible to not at least try.

The Spanish transport secretary and the head of Spain’s railroads have resigned after it was discovered that the brand new trains, built at a cost of €258 million, won’t fit through the tunnels.

A new production of the musical “Parade” just opened on Broadway. It’s the story of Leo Frank, a Jew who in 1913 was charged with raping and murdering a 13 year old girl. Although found guilty at trial, his death sentence was commuted by the governor of Georgia, because he didn’t believe that he was guilty. But a crowd of KKK thugs broke into the jail he was in, and lynched him. This led to an increase in the popularity of the KKK and the founding of the Jewish Anti-Defamation League.
All of this leads up to the new show, which had its premiere yesterday, and was picketed by neo-Nazis.

Yet the vice-president of the Tunnels Division kept his job? So unfair.

There’s quite likely a place for him on Boeing’s Board of Directors.

Nice!

We had a similar issue in South Africa, also with Spanish made locomotives. (Apparently the company is German owned)

It was mired in corruption from the start.

Exactly the same issue arose: the locomotive is too tall.

Exactly no one resigned.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-supporters-turn-to-plan-c-to-reinstate-him-after-supreme-court-loss/ar-AA17LC9k

Three Trump-supporting brothers are preparing to roll out their “plan C” to reinstate him as president after the United States Supreme Court once again declined to hear their case.

The article doesn’t say what their ‘Plan C’ is.

“Moving on to plan C. I will say more about that within the next few days. We have been working long and hard on these strategies and there are more to come.”

Aside from that, here’s a particularly stupid quote:

“It’s obvious that those who fiercely object to this case would like to see the Constitution dismantled, torn apart, or altogether eliminated.”

So… They want to protect the Constitution from being dismantled, torn apart, or altogether eliminated by (illegally) installing as President a man who has called for the Constitution to be dismantled, torn apart, or altogether eliminated.

For fucks’ sake guys, just make the rails go around the tunnel, problem solved. Can I be Train President now?

What I think I admire most about your policy position is its distinct Railpolitik tone.

Has the Trump administration every produced a single thing they promised they would show us “within the next few days”?
I remember when a journalist called him out on his ‘2 weeks’ comment and Trump came back with “I said a few weeks, I didn’t say how many”. That was yet another one of those things that should have been a turning point for the people that elected him to realize he was full of shit, but they ignored it and here we are, on Plan C.

ETA, also, if you’re gonna lie about that kinda stuff, why would your lie include an admission of two failed attempts?

In much the same way that Mike Lindell, Kari Lake, et. al. keep saying they have all this evidence about widespread voter fraud, but yet have so far not produced any. There is no evidence, there is no Plan C.

But the packets!

Next you’ll tell me there is no Queen of England.

At least they failed at hiding the size of the portfolio. And 80% of that fine is being charged to the investment adviser company, which is probably a lot bigger chunk of their assets (they are a “non-profit” after all).

No surprise, the CBS News article is poorly written:

The Mormon church was allegedly worried that the size of its portfolio, which reached $32 billion by 2018, would lead to “negative consequences,”

I’m willing to bet that it is not the actual size of the portfolio that is the problem, it is knowledge of the size of the portfolio spreading to the church membership and potential church membership that is the problem.
