Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

It would not have helped had you said Camp Fire Girls.

It would have made more sense if the buses had been made by Brownie.

I don’t care what they tell you in school - Wallace was from Wisconsin!

I just discovered a new, stupid product.

I don’t know. You ever try to open a Capri-Sun?

Anyway, why’d he get charged? Don’t people try to bring guns on the plane all the time without getting charged for it?

Vampire straws aren’t in the Constitution.

And I, for one, am very vlad that’s the case.

The article says it was “artfully concealed among other straws” so there may be some evidence he was intentionally trying to smuggle it onto the plane. The people with guns are usually just being forgetful, not malicious.

The Vampire straw’s dimensions make it the most comfortable straw to use; it’s length and wide gauge allows the user to drink effortlessly any thick shake or smoothie. The Vampire straw is also long enough to drink from any long beverage can.

Designed for self defense, the Vampire straw is super tough and long enough to be used like a dagger; it’s chiseled tip is sharp enough to puncture most synthetic materials.

Aren’t we supposed to be carrying straws with us to avoid single use plastics? I can see forgetting that one has a pointier tip when packing.

It certainly does appear to function as a straw, not just disguised as one. Pretty nice straw at that.

Eh, forgetting where you left your gun making an owner irresponsible aside, it’s a carry-on bag, is that really where they store their gun in between flights and just forget to take it out beforehand?

At least it makes sense to keep reusable straws with your travel items.

Just sayin’ makes sense that they wouldn’t let him fly with it. Doesn’t make as much sense that they would charge him with the assumption that carrying a straw onto a plan is malicious, but carrying a gun onto a plane is simple forgetfulness.

“this is one weapon you will use every day”! wow! that is quite something.

the people on this website must wish they were john wick. some of the items are…well, i’m trying to find the words.

The point is that you would use it every day as a straw. Not that you would murder someone with it every day.

It doesn’t look any different than any other tactical weapon supply shop.

Random google:

i’m sure that is what they tell their lawyers.

I’m not sure who they is in that sentence, nor why they would need to tell their lawyers anything at all.

Is there some lawbreaking that you are seeing here?

Speak for yourself.

Sure, I guess you don’t need a straw every day.

I’m just very disappointed that a “Vampire straw” is not intended to be jammed into someone’s neck so you can drink their blood.

Speak for yourself. (Okay, I’ll stop now.)

Same. In fact, for a long time, I assumed that Dracula’s fangs were constructed that way.

I just thought that was the needle that the Covid vaccine uses; it has to be big enough to fit the tracking microchip.
