Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

Yeah, that’s how you make Rice Krispies Treats, one of the greatest dessert snacks of all time.

(Usually you include some butter as well.)

And they may be the tastiest gluten-free snack there is!

Either Rice Krispies or Trix, depending on how sugary sweet you prefer.

Here’s another dry cereal trick: You know those Grape Nuts (not the flakes) that are like chewing on rock-hard sand? But it makes good hot cereal. Just boil in milk for a while (it takes more milk than you might think, otherwise it all just sets up like cement). Not bad.

I’ve done that with Grape Nuts using chocolate milk. It’s delicious. :yum:

(Using a microwave, I’m not fancy.)

I once tried making Rice Krispy treats with my home-made marshmallows (the maple kind) and they turned out horrible. All waterlogged and soggy. Great idea. Poor execution. Too much water in the marshmallow, I expect.

It must be very tricky to hit a marshmellow with your car.

Not really. Their situational awareness is usually pretty poor.

Marshmello usually dresses in bright white, he should stand out pretty easily even at night and I imagine he would be easy to hit.

This thread has gone in an unexpected direction.

No kidding.

I prefer the marshmallow balrogs, myself

My mom made these “ghost roll” things, which needed child participation:

Take a large marshmallow,
Roll it in soft butter and roll it in cinnamon
Take a triangle of crescent roll dough like you get from those tubes
Wrap the marshmallow and roll the dough in the butter and the cinnamon
Bake a bunch in a paper-lined muffin tin
Feed kids
Deal with mess

The children are ingredients?

Yes it has. Those Stupid MFers In The News are getting so tiresome, we need a break now and then.

But it turns out ivermectin actually can help certain people fight off COVID-19, according to science writer Scott Alexander.

First off, it looks like a news piece on the MSN page but it’s an opinion piece. And it’s stupid.

Seriously. You are gonna say EVERYONE was wrong based on blog by one fucking guy?? You are such a moron. PEOPLE ARE DYING!!! TELL THEM TO GET VACCINATED

I don’t know what you’re seeing but I see a preview which clearly states that the origin is the noted right-wing rag Washington Examiner.

MSN.com links all kinds of nonsense on their landing page. They should get some scorn as well.

Why in the hell is a psychiatrist studying ivermectin, anyway?

So he can cash in on the stupidity of the rubes. Duh!

Dude did his research! Your formal training matters not in the age of Youtube. Most of the ground-breaking inventions coming out these days are folks sitting around in their sweats researching all night long on Youtube.

… To sleep, perchance to dream,
Aye, there’s the rube,
For in that sleep of intubation
