??? I dont’ get it

Oh! because the owner of PSG is Quatari?

Right, and I think in the end, they pull the strings because they bring the money.

And they know about football about as much as they know about democracy

Thomas Müller is a phenomenon who has been playing at that level for Bayern for almost 15 years, almost without any injuries or lack of form. He’s also, though only vice-captain, Bayern’s tactical leader on the pitch, constantly leading and motivating his teammates verbally. He’s already one of the most important and valuable players Bayern ever had, in that respect on par with Beckenbauer, Breitner, Matthäus and Effenberg.

Yeah, PSG isn’t a real team. They do have talent in the midfield and back (Veratti and Marquinos are both great!) but tactically it isn’t there. You can get away with 1 attacker not working hard, but not all 3. MSN worked at Barcelona because Suarez was a hard working true #9 (Mbappe is correct in that PSG would be better if they had one) and Messi hadn’t completely stopped pressing at that point. Don’t get me wrong, they were still super talented on the rest of the field, but the attack wasn’t merely something slapped on top.

He is indeed!

I’m not sure if you were pointing to him being really unusual in contrast to Mbappe - he is very much so, but 7.7 is still really, really low (I was just pointing out an extreme contrast). In another comparison, Lewandowski averaged 9.84 km/90 minutes in his last season at Bayern…

No, that was just general praise for a fantastic football player who’s sometimes a bit underestimated/underappreciated outside of Germany. Of course, compared to guys like Mbappé or Messi, he’s rather the worker/fighter than an artist, but he’s also the master of the deadly one-touch pass and one of the most intelligent players (on and off the pitch, he’s really funny and eloquent in interviews). And he plays very efficiently, I just read a short article on kicker.de about Müller’s personal record against Messi: he played Messi 8 times, 6 times with Bayern in the CL and twice in World Cups with Germany vs. Argentina, and the statistics for Müller are: 7-1 wins, 6-2 goals and 2-1 assists.

I don’t like him

Muller is a guy I used to think was pretty overrated, but he’s grown on me. As a player at least, I think he’s extremely unfunny in interviews. As a player I now think of him like Benzema in the Ronaldo years. Not in the style, but that they do the little things for the benefit of the team even if they’re not flashy. And probably not getting as much credit for it as they should.

Antonio Conte, ladies and gentlemen!

Who could have imagined that his time at Spurs would end in a spectacular flameout?

Has he quit or been sacked?

It’s only some highlights of the full ten minute rant, though.

Can’t believe the chap is still employed there.

Wait a minute, he’s still the coach? woah.

Only speculation now - let’s hope it stays that way.

'the hell?!?..

Messi’s contract expires this summer.

I don’t want that to happen, but it would be hilarious because how much it would rub Ronaldo the wrong way.

He’s gone now.

Well sure, now that Nagelsmann has freed up…
