Help a longtime Doper whose home was destroyed by fire on Christmas

In another thread, for the Secret Santa gift exchange, I learned that one of our participants, Czarcasm and his family, lost their home in a fire on Christmas Day. In messages with him I learned that someone else in their city of Portland has set up a GoFundMe to help but he was reluctant to talk of it because he had recently set up another GFM that was posted on the SDMB, for help to a Portland food pantry that had been robbed.
