This morning’s MSNBC/McClatchy poll surprisingly has Lincoln Chafee with a slim lead in Rhode Island. If he pulls it off, the Dems would need MT, VA, MO, and TN to take control of the Senate.
I don’t much care for Jim Pederson’s campaign, but it would be huge if he won. Jon Kyl is very conservative and Pederson seems to be pretty liberal. If the Dems had a better candidate, Kyl would be scared shitless right now. Even as it stands the attack ads have been pretty nasty on both sides.
The trend lines are too far apart for me to be too worried about Rhode Island based on a single poll.
I dont know. It could be close – Rothenberg, Election Projection, and the Cook Political Report all have them lumped in with the other tight races of VA, TN, and MO.
