I’m familiar with the procedure for reporting posts-but is there a system for decided which mod it gets reported to?I would assume it would go to the particular mod for the forum it was in.
And if the post I am reporting is that made by a mod,is there a system to ensure that it would not be dealt with by that moderator.
It seems rather unfair to give the decision on whether the post is a problem to **ModeratorX[/] because it’s in their forum when it’s their post in the first place…
What is Caj–, er, Moderator X going to be warned for, exactly? Stating the obvious?

Yes,it was Cajun Man’s post that I wanted to report.However,when I checked the rules for reporting,there was nothing there that said what to do if it was a moderator’s post you were reporting,regardless of who they were.
Since the rules didn’t say what would happen in a particular situation,I asked here for clarification since this is what this forum is for.I was asking a factual question on procedure and just wanted a factual answer in reply.

When you use the “report this post to a moderator” button, an e-mail is sent to all listed moderators for that forum.
If you have a complaint against a staff member, you can always e-mail any other moderator or adminstrator. Their e-mail addresses are listed in their profile.
If you have a complaint against all moderators / administrators, I would try praying to Saint Isidor of Seville.
It doesn’t take Cecil to put two and two together Iceland.

If I had made any of Cajun Man’s comments except for the one about closing the thread and someone had reported them, that report would most likely be summarily ignored. Really, they didn’t even rate a blip on this board’s acerbic-meter.
If I had made Cajun Man’s comment about closing the thread, folks would probably be asking if I was feeling OK, or if I’d suffered any recent blows to the head.
Didn’t I say that? Or is Iceland only listening to people who don’t show an opinion of him?

It is not creepy to thank Arnold for answering a question.Normal courtesy.Neither is it creepy to quote a famous person.Many Dopers have quotes from historical people in their text or signature.

It was what you quoted that I find creepy. The whole “you should only believe what I believe” attitude of the quote was creepy. And like my good friend Nocturnal_Tick, I also find it offensive.
If there’s ever another “flirt” thread, what are the chances of anyone flirting with Ice ?
