Clark Gable and Carole Lombard!
Barbara Bain and Martin Landau.
The stuntman and stuntwoman who’d been working on MAD MAX: FURY ROAD got hitched and had a kid: “The longer we were doing it the more we’re kind of eyeing each other up. We’ve said it before and it’s quite cheesy, but it really was love at first sight. While we were punching each other we were falling for each other – quite rapidly.”
All gay and/or beards?
I haven’t heard anything about either of these assertions. Where did you hear all this?
Similarly, Julie London and Bobby Troup were married while starring together in Emergency, but weren’t a couple in the show. In fact, I believe the idea was to have a romantic angle between Nurse McCall (London) and Dr. Brackett.
I know that Sara Gilbert is gay; I haven’t heard anything credible to suggest that Galecki is.
Also, since no one else has mentioned them (or, possibly, I’m the only one here who watches the show), Elyes Gabel and Katherine McPhee from Scorpion.
Elvis Presley and, apparently, every leading lady he ever had, most enviably the young Ann-Margret.
Steven Seagal and Kelly LeBrock
Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor
Hey, has Kevin Bacon been in anything with Kyra Sedgwick? Kind of ironic if he hasn’t…
I was watching Quincy when I remembered that when Jack Klugman played Oscar on The Odd Couple, his wife Brett Somers played Oscar’s ex-wife, Blanche.
Patty Duke and John “Gomez Addams” Astin.
Of course, and good call:
Pyrates starred Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick as lovers who accidentally set things on fire during sex. (Watch out for those candles!)
I thought maybe that’s the movie they met on, but googling shows they’d already been together for a few years. They first met years earlier when Bacon was 19 and Sedgwick was 12 (ick!) but didn’t spark up a romance until they were both in their 20s on the set of Lemon Sky.
Their characters also slept together in THE WOODSMAN, for which Bacon should’ve gotten an Oscar nomination. (Uh, not for sleeping with her; the other stuff.)
Delta Burke and Gerald McRaney met on the set of Designing Women. There’s a lovely outtake where the characters are kissing on the stairs, and Delta blushes and says, “I forgot my next line” and Gerald grins sheepishly and pulls her close.
In fact, Designing Women had three IRL couples, Delta/Gerald, Dixie Carter/Hal Holbrook, and Jean Smart/Richard Gilliland.
Kirstie Alley and Parker Stevenson were on John Jakes North and South (now divorced), as were Genie Francis and Jonathan Frakes and James Read and Wendy Kilbourne (both couples still married.)
Sarah Gilbert spoke at length on The Talk about dating Galecki before coming out. The two are still very good friends; in fact, she called him before the reveal to see if he was OK with it, since “it doesn’t make him look too good [in the sexual sense].”
Only by those who think he isn’t masculine enough to be straight.
It’s not like there is a rule saying your sexuality can’t be fluid. Especially when you are young.
Galecki is a private person who doesn’t advertise his sex life. Because he comes across as not very manly rumors went around that he was gay despite the fact that he has only been seen dating women despite how hard the tabloids have worked at it. Here he answers the question. I believe him. He doesn’t think there is anything to be ashamed of if he was gay so why would he deny it. With the caliber of women he has been with I should be so gay.
I did not know that, thanks!
Drew Barrymore and Justin Long.
Warren Beatty and Annette Benning met filming Bugsy.
Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer met on Tru Blood and are still married with twins I believe.
Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn in Overboard.
Anybody mention Cruise and Kidman in Eyes Wide Shut?
