On the Melinda Dolittle thread and observations there

Dang, now I want a tall skinny glass of tea.

The life of a straight man is a sad and lonely one.

Cool, now we’ve got ads for Little Giraffe Boutique, Little Giraffe Blankets, and Little Giraffe Collection, all of which, frankly, are more interesting then people getting upset over whether or not they like an AI contestant.

And FTR, I’m in that thread as someone who likes Melinda, but you know what? If you want to hate her, feel free. And if you want to do it with bad spelling and punctuation, that’s great; it gives me something to mock when I can’t bother to be worked up over your opinion.

Hey, can I pick on Liberal for liking Chris Richardson now?

I just noticed something. Liberal spelled Melinda Doolittle’s name wrong.

I love when people catapult themselves up on the highest horse only to find they’re sitting on a donkey.

…said the dumbfuck who declared baby boomers don’t buy records.

Any response yet to this

But since you insist on digging in your heels, here is an article from Business Wire, a trade journal: Baby Boomers Spend More On Music And Clothes Than Generation X, which finds young adults in “[t]he music CDs/tapes category, spending $24 or less, compared with Baby Boomers who were heavy spenders in this category, spending more than $100.” And in general, “Boomers outspend the other ages in every category”, according to another trade journal, Retail Traffic.

…other than making fart noises with your tongue?

LOL – not even a “Oh man, I can’t believe I spelled her name wrong!”

You’re an ass.

Most of us tend to overlook minor typos and omissions. It’s a bit harder to ignore your absolute refusal to support any of your ridiculous assertions. Itunes makes more money for the music industry than CD sales? How about a cite? I particularly liked this one:

A plastic CD is not a product?

Couldn’t have done it without you, bud.

It’s neither a typo nor an omission. Liberal just got it wrong.

Let me ask you something, and how about a straight answer: What age group represents the music industry’s largest target?

Can’t edit.

Let me ask you something, and how about a straight answer: What age group represents the music industry’s largest target market?

(this is for the other thread by the way, and if you can’t give me a straight answer, we’ll just return to why Liberal is so feverishly defending a person whose name it cannot spell)

Liberal left an “O” out of her last name. That’s a typo and an omission, and you are stupid.

Here’s a straight answer, something you might want to attempt when you grow up. I don’t know what the largest target market is for the music industry, but I know what age groups buy what percentages of music, because I looked it up (small PDF) , and you didn’t. In 2005, people 45 and older bought 25.5 % of music sold, more than twice as much as any other age grouping. In addition, downloads made up 6% of sales that year. Why don’t you try to find a subject you know something about to spout off on?

Stopped reading there. Have a nice day.

Words got too big after that?

Nope. I’m more than willing to have reasonable discourse on the subject. So far, from what I can, I’m the only one.

You people argue like monkeys throw faeces.

We all aspire to your level of refined argument, but fall short.

That was after I was called a “dumbfuck.”

Tell you what, you have two choices:

  1. Reasonable discourse.
  2. Go fuck yourself.

Now, which is it?

Uh huh.

You’re boring.

Skipped your Ritalin again?
