On which day of the week were you born?

And thus I learn that twas not Wednesday but Saturday. Oops i broke the poll.

Saturday, but for most of the world it was still Friday.

Wednesday, the 16th day of September, 1970 at 4.10 pm. I was exactly 3 weeks late, my cousin being born on what was supposed to be my birthday…Doctors played golf on Wednesdays…my mother’s obstetrician was paged off the course…

Does this mean that all people born on a Sunday bat for the other team?

Saturday’s Child works hard for a living.
Yup, that sounds about right.

sigh Wednesday. :frowning:

But it was still Tuesday on the west coast, although I wasn’t born there.

Don’t know. But both my boys were born on the 28th of the month. On a Wednesday. “Wednesday’s child is full of woe.”

Me: Shuddup and do something to make it better.

Sunday.

As I expected they are quite equally distributed. I know no one famous was born on the day I was born.

BTW, what does the poll result supposed to tell us?

Tuesday, and I was informed by a friend that he thought the poem was sarcastic. (I am extremely clumsy.)

Monday. Definitely NOT “fair of face.”

It would appear that the distribution is “uniform” in the sense that no particular item has any more or less likelihood than any other. Even if…

…wasn’t meant with a certain tongue-in-cheek faux seriousness, it’s close to what seems to be the case here.

The snapshot I took at…

…is how I would expect things to look after a large number of votes. How large? Several hundred, maybe.

I was born on a Wednesday, as were all three of my siblings.

Ash wednesday. Really full of woe

Currently friday is winning- which supposedly will be increasingly the case, as hospitals apparently prefer to induce or schedule caesarians on fridays, to reduce the weekend stress.

Faux seriousness? I never joke about statistics!! By the by, I should have added that the critical value I used was for 95% confidence.

One of the funniest books I have ever read was a college level statistics book where virtually every example situation and all the quizzes were the most outrageous situations and the statistics involved in solving them so devious and clever that it was impossible not to laugh out loud at 90% of them.

Is there anything wrong (statistically speaking) with my paraphrase of your conclusion about this set of data points?

Nope, you were spot on.

Monday for me, and I got reasonably good looks.

My Akan name would be Adjoa.

Saturday.

Your Akan name would be Kwame. Or Kwamena.
Like Kwame Nkrumah or Kwame Ture (Stokely Carmichael).

Mine for Monday would be:

I’ll fix it and enter Wednesday instead of my Saturday.
