One album side electric, one acoustic. More examples?

The deluxe edition of Lucinda Williams album “Blessed” has a second disc called “The Kitchen Tapes” which contains solo acoustic versions of all of the songs on the album, recorded in her kitchen.

Another variation: Graham Parker & The Rumour’s Squeezing Out Sparks + Live Sparks (1996) is the original album followed immediately by the same songs in the same track order from his promotional concert tour. (There is one additional track from the tour at the end.) The concert tracks are so close to the album tracks and the sound is good enough that one might think you were hearing studio rehearsals. Live Sparks was engineered by KSAN and WXRT, and I’ve always suspected that it was actually recorded at the radio stations themselves for broadcast with promotional interviews.

Shania Twain’s album Up came out in three versions: pop (red disc), country (green disc), and “Indian film music” style (blue disc). North American packages contained the red and green discs while international packages contained the red and blue discs. The songs were the same on all discs, in the same order.
