One does not simply walk into Mordor...

“Yes you do! You totally do!”
Anyone got any active links to these gems?

How about this?

OK…I found the catapult ones:

First
Second

Nothing will ever top Jack Black.

That’s hysterical. Where did that come from? Was it filmed for an award show, or does Jack Black do these videos for fun? Or what?

It was from the MTV movie awards from the year The Fellowship came to theaters. It’s also an Easter Egg on the extended DVD.

Wha? How? Where?

The last scene of the first disc (we’re talking the two disc version that looks like a book) is “The Council of Elrond”, so you go to the scene selection, and select that one, then press down one more time. It’s been a while since I’ve done it, but it will light up or darken some orb or something in the little design under the list of scenes. Select it, and you’ll get the scene with a little intro by Peter Jackson. If you do the same thing with the other disc, you get a preview for the Two Towers.

Along this line, there’s also The DM of the Rings, which shows how the story would have gone if it had been an RPG campaign.

Mordor? That’s like some neighborhood in San Francisco right?

Well, there goes about a week’s worth of free time. Thanks a lot, Nemo

I suspect this would be highly entertaining if I recognized any of the references. Help, someone?

And that time the Fellowship all played truth or dare at Elrond’s house.

Never played D&D I guess then? Unless you’ve played a bit of D&D or any other RPG you won’t find it funny, or even very interesting I suspect.

Check out this scene from Clerks II, in which Randall eviscerates LOTR while upholding the honor of Star Wars. I think he’s pretty nearly dead wrong, but hilarious.
