Now, this is a really cool glass.
How are we supposed to drink white lightnin’
You can’t put down the champagne glass on a tabletop?? That’s idiotic.
Gimmicky. It’s unattractive as a water glass, impractical as cognac or champagne.
It’s great if you’re doing shots of champagne.
How do you configure it for jello shots?
Why is the brandy glass off to one side?
Also, isn’t one practical feature of champagne glasses that they minimise the top surface area by being narrow, thereby minimising bubbly loss?
:dubious:
Right. Because there aren’t specific types of cups/glasses for different types of beer, iced tea, mixed drinks, shots, coffee, tea…
…and then flinging the glasses into the fireplace.

…and then flinging the glasses into the fireplace.
…in fact, forget the champagne!
Do they come with a set of Splayds? Or a free bucket of stupid?
Three glasses for Moderators in their jack-boots,
Seven for Other Digital Processes banned to bone,
Nine for Search Robots bringing pie,
One for Cecil Adams in his snark throne
In SDMB where the Trolls lie.
…One drink to fill them all
and into darkness, blind them.

This is a technique that doesn’t work so well if you don’t have a fireplace. In the post-coital stumble to the bathroom, your feet get all cut up.

Look - the homemade wine wasn’t that bad.

Yeah, Ethyl, Methyl… what’s the difference?
Not sure about those glasses, but some of the other kitchen items on that site just made it onto my wedding registry. I really like the look of this cutting board with built-in prep bowls. Would definitely help when making stir-fry.
I don’t really feel like assembling my glass every time I want to have a drink. Also, my glass collection looks cool.
The reason you might want a stem for champagne is to avoid hold the glass with your hands and warming it up too fast.
Not an issue for me, I drink it before it has a chance to warm up.

Yes - but the champagne set up is just a stem. It was no base. It looks cool, until you consider that you might want to put your glass down sometime.
