One Hit Wonder lyrics challenge

Inspired by recent “one-hit wonder” threads, I came up with this challenge. All of the following lyrics were taken from
certified “one-hit wonders”, that is, these songs were the only Billboard Top 40 hits by these artists. I used Joel
Whitburn’s “Top Pop Singles 1955-1996” and my record collection as my references. It is possible, though highly
unlikely that these lyrics appear in other songs, but I’m looking for the “one-hit wonder”.

Good Luck!! (and please, no running off to lyric websites!!!)

…we got the munchies and I made some spaghetti…
…and he’s no clown…
…it’s the only way to live…
…they don’t bark and they don’t bite…
…warm by the fire, I loved being by her…
…the one you love is gone…
…your secretary had to leave this town…
…but I can’t help but have my suspicions…
…you talk so tender, then you run out of gas…
…I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me…
…come to me tonight, I’ve taken everything in sight…
…a locked door, no key was cut that was a fit…
…take my advice, won’t be long…
…and it’s there when I look in your eyes…
…and there was no sound at all, but the clock upon the wall…
…can’t afford a blowout, cause we haven’t got a spare…
…I’ve watched you so many times before, now, baby…
…I love you though you hurt me so…
…I hear you singing to the tune I’m playing…
…she ain’t got no money, her clothes are kinda funny…
…I never thought that it would end and I was everybody’s friend…
…I really lost my head last night. You’ve got a right to stop believin’…
…you’ve fought hard and you’ve saved and earned…
…young man marching, helmet shining in the sun…
…you’re so close now I can’t let you go…
