Blushes.
Shucks!
I am sorry for being so crabby, it just seems as though folks should worry more about doggio falling off the conveyor belt at work, than me standing on public property with a Constitutionally protected sign. I really do not like this time line and would like to get off, please.
In other news, there is a dandelion growing in the back yard. HORRORS!!! Hubs is talking about pulling his mower out and riding around the yard. He needs a hobby.
The family Preacher-man went to the hospital to celebrate mass with the broken cousin. He reports that cousin seemed to stay awake for the whole thing (he abbreviated what he could) and was aware enough to participate. This is good. I know his wife has been reporting good news, but sometimes you need another source to be sure that folks aren’t lying about the seriousness.
The weather was nice today, cool but not a lot of wind. It is so nice to not live with constant wind anymore, I didn’t realize how annoying it was until it was gone.
The neighbor’s chickens are starting to lay eggs again (they stop laying in the winter unless they have a whole lot of light - but that also shortens their lifespans) and she got her first duck egg today. I offered her cash money for it but she turned me down
She also has a turkey this year. It is half grown and all full of itself. Harry came riding by on his quad and the turkey went after him but Harry cranked the throttle and got away.
Neighbor swears that the turkey (Thomas) isn’t going to be a pet, he’s going to be Thanksgiving dinner, but I’ve noticed that none of her chickens or ducks end up on the dinner table.
The across the street neighbor is going to be putting electric heat strips in his driveway. He also isn’t willing to give up his riding mower snowplow attachment yet, he thinks it might work if the snow is already half melted.
Harry and Mrs Harry are thinking about going to Hawaii in August. She suffers in the heat and now that he’s not doing a huge garden their only responsibilities are their two cats and his raven. They are thinking about asking our cat-sitter to take care of things and asked me many questions about what she does while we are gone.
I’m kinda jealous. I would be happy to learn how to diaper a raven but noooo, they’ve gotta pick a young one to do it.
I really do encourage this. I’m feeling much better now that I’m doing TC again, swimming really wasn’t cutting it.
Shoulder replacement, right? Are you close enough friends to help them bathe or will strangers be coming in and upsetting your smoi god?
I wish them the best, I’m not looking forward to my six weeks of bad arm time.
