One more reason not to care about baseball (it's my rant and I'll be lame if I want)

RT, does it offer you any comfort that should espn.com go down in a cloud of smoke, you can always rely on my location for your sports news? I can’t exactly put the box score in there (they limited the # of chars), but the series record is there, at least.

I was wondering how long it’d take before someone noticed/commented on my location. I’ve had it related to the Braves for probably two months now, easy.

True, BUT

The NFL post-season consists of less than 10 games over a number of weeks.

The MLB post season consists of, at minimum, 24 games. At a maximum, 41 games over roughly the same time period. The broadcast networks may not want to broadcast THAT many games.

Nitpick: 11 over 4.

If it weren’t for the Wild Card, I wouldn’t have been able to call my brother at 3am this morning to taunt him after my A’s beat his Sox. Poor guy was so sleepy that he didn’t realize that 25 years ago to the day was when he got beat by Bucky Fucking Dent. Then I got to call him again later this afternoon to taunt him over losing again - two losses in this same fateful day in Red Sox history.

I will always be grateful for the Wild Card.

D’OH!

Remind me again how two brothers are fans of two different teams in the same league on opposite sides of the country? I assume both of you grew up in either Boston or Oakland.

We grew up in St. Louis and are both Cards fans, but have both lived in SF / Boston for so long that we adopted American league teams also. (I can’t like the Giants, as there is a conflict :))

I’d say you’ll be paying for DirecTV for a long, long time. Ow, stop hitting me…I deserve sympathy…I’m a Red Sox fan.
