One vote DOES make a difference!!!

Okay, at work yesterday we had an office-wide contest for the ugliest, widest necktie. Ballots were available in the lobby and we had to write our own names on the ballots in addition to the name of the person we were voting for, presumably to prevent ballot box stuffing.

I went to a thrift store and found a big wide polyester tie that was so ugly it hurt to look at it. I embellished it with campaign buttons or George McGovern, Richard Nixon, and Gerald Ford.

At the end of the day, I had lost by one vote. And the sad part is that I abstained from voting because I thought it would be bad sportsmanship to vote for myself.

sigh I can’t even win an ugly tie contest. And there was a free shirt riding on this!

Note to Bush and Gore: Be sure to vote next Tuesday-- you never know!

People shouldn’t vote to make a difference. People should vote because of the hot women offering oral sex in the voting booth

What precinct are you in? I don’t think they pay election officials enough for that here in Virginia.

BTW, the date of that post looked like a binary number: 11-01-00 11:01!

So does yours-- 11-01-00 11:11

Totally unintentional! In fact it was 11-02-00 12:11 eastern time when I posted.

See you on 11-10-00 01:00!

Oh, if only Ann Landers were here. She could pull out that “one vote” column that she runs again and again and again despite everyone in the free world telling her just how inaccuracte it is.

I lost prom king senior year by one vote. I voted for the other guy.
