One year later: DADT repeal does not hurt troops

This article follows a study conducted on US troops after the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. If you recall, lots of military personnel, including John McCain and various other conservatives expounded on how it would hurt troop morale, lead people to quit en masse, and prevent others from signing up. Unfortunately, the study has shown that no such thing happened, though 2 people apparently did quit the military in protest.

I’d say this is a huge blow for the McCain campaign!

Hey, this article lays out some very real consequences of the repeal that I think will help you see why this isn’t appropriate fodder for jokes, young man.

Dammit Stickler, now there’s something in my eye…

I know… it’s so wonderful and beautiful…

The Duffel Blog is the military version of The Onion if you couldn’t figure that out.

Well, darn. At least a tiny, juvenile part of me was kinda wondering what the reaction would be if the repeal actually did cause the downfall of the American military.
