One year of not smoking!

Uh, Stinkum, once you quit smoking, you’ll have to change your username…

Well done, Reuben. I wish I had your resolve.

My father is still in the early stages…its been about 3 weeks, and he says its TOUGH! He’s been a smoker for about 35 years, varying from pack-a-day to 6-10 smokes a day, I think (he never smoked inside the house, so I never really noticed how many, but I know it wasn’t as much as it had been years ago, when he still drank). He’s using Nicorette to help, and although my mom and sister (my brother and I dont live at home) are making jokes about him being “aggressive and tossing them around the house”, things are going pretty well. I’m really proud of him for trying, and for lasting even this long…his “record” previously was about 3 days! Hopefully this time around it will be permanent. There’s been some pressure on him for years to quit from my sister, and even some from my mom, but this time it was HIS decision.

Good luck to all of you, and congratulations to those of you who are succeeeding!
