I have a question that I can’t find the answer to online. Maybe you guys know?
I’ve heard some songs lately on Sirius XM’s Broadway Channel from Grease and Xanadu, songs made famous by Olivia Newton-John. Her versions were sweet and pretty, obviously incomparable. However, the versions which are being performed on stage are…how do I put this…ass. I mean, the singers are talented and could no doubt sing the songs beautifully, but instead seem to be playing for laughs.
Has anyone seen these performances? Have some thoughts on this?
