I was wondering if anyone here had a recommendation for a good online recipe storage/sharing solution. I’m generally familiar with the big ones that tend be at the top of Google searches but I’d like to hear experiences from anyone who’s gone fully electronic with their recipe catalog.
Here’s my scenario, I have a Rolodex that contains several hundred of my extended family’s recipes. They are obviously written manually on index cards. Since I’m one of the few (only?) people to have anything resembling a complete collection of these recipes I’d like to spend some time and energy getting them uploaded online and shared with the rest of the family. But, since this will be very labor intensive I want to do it once and do it right.
A few features I’d like. The ability to keep some or all of the recipes private and not available to the world and search engines. The ability to share access between family members in a way that everyone can add and update recipes and comment on them with suggestions and variations. The ability to have email updates when recipes are changed/added. Photos would be nice.
So, anyone have experience with this?
