On Jeopardy about 2 weeks was a contestant who talked about playing a game called oobi ( I don’t know if that is the correct spelling). He said it was a Geography game where one person would name a place and someone else would have to give something it was known for. He went on to say that he had once played while he was in the hospital. Has anyone else ever heard of the game?
The spelling was “Ubi.” I owned it. It was a weird game.
There was a world map. All questions began with the word Ubi (such as “Ubi the place where McKinely was shot?”)
Rather than give the answer “Buffalo,” you had to find it on the map, and using a finding device, give the coordinates. Sometimes, the question was a trick question, “Ubi the city where the Red Sox won the world series in 1947?” in which case, the answer was a red herring (and yes, there was a red herring on the map).

“Ubi” means “where” BTW.
Two years of high school Latin finally pay off.
