Oops I did it again

Some of you might remember that a little over a year ago I applied for a job/promotion, and was knocked out of the box - assigned a rating of ZERO and not allowed to even complete the application process by testing and interviewing for the position.

Well, they’ve completed a round of hiring and posted the position again. I guess I can’t get enough rejection, 'cause I reworked my materials and sent them in again. At least this time I’m going into it knowing it is a fucked up process, and not presuming I have any chance to be allowed to compete for a position that Mr. McGoo could clearly see I would excel at.

What a goofy process! It was posted Wednesday afternoon to remain open for 2 weeks or until midnight on the day they received their 600th application. This morning it was closed. No reason pretending they want to engage in a thoughtful process to obtain the most qualified individuals - only those who are quickest on the gun!

But life is good, I have no need or strong urge to leave my current well-paying job, and if this falls in my lap, so be it.

Maybe they like having you right where you are.

In my experience when a posting only stays up for a couple of days it’s because they have already - before they posted the job - identified the candidate. They only post it because they have to per company policy.

Sucks big time if you’re not the golden child this time around.

BINGO!
(I’ve actually been forced to take part in a farce like this - it sucks)
