I went to the clinic to change my next doctor’s appointment, and get a prescription refilled.
A guy comes in with his wife and two kids to see the doctor. He tells the receptionist who he is and the doctors name. One minute later the receptionist is telling him that his appointment is for tomorrow. They just stand there for a while like “Can’t he see us today anyway.”
Nope, you screwed up. Just leave before more people notice.
I’ve seen this happen before, so it’s not a one time occurance.
Any clinic receptionists have a comment on the frequency.
I’m only your wildest fear, from the corners of your darkest thoughts.
I work in a cardiology office and I get patients who show up for their appointments on the wrong day, at the wrong time, taking medications they should have held back on, eating when they weren’t supposed to, etc… Now, all of this is spelled out in detail on the appointment/information sheets they recieve when they make the appointment. Half of it I chalk up to people just not bothering to pay attention to what they are told. The other half I chalk up to the fact that people are usually pretty nervous when going to see the doctor and they are too busy worrying to remember. It still irks me, but it is a forgivable offense.
