Who are these guys on my team? Do they represent real players with changed names or what?
No. They are completely fictional players. They will age, peak in skills, decline and eventually retire; only to be replaced with newer, younger players.
Generally speaking, a rating of 5-7 in any category is good, 8-9 is excellent and 10+ is exceptional. Letter ratings go from A-E, with A being the best.

Now, how do I connect to the league and D/L the info?
It’s me. I just wanted to change my “home” from city to state. I was considering trying to claim the whole West Coast but I didn’t want to seem greedy, particularly with teams from Seattle and Alaska also in the league. Also, two other teams in the Zotti League are from states, while the Adams league appears to be the league for teams from cities.
I don’t mind playing the first season or so with two computer-controlled teams. Unless they kick my butt.
I may be doing something wrong but the Player Trade screen seems not to work properly. When it asks for my password, it says “incorrect password” regardless of what I enter, and then despite the incorrect password, I can proceed to offer trades between any two teams. It looks like I could force any trades I wanted between any teams in the league.
I haven’t, though.
Also, examining the free agent pool, it looks like I could make a signing for any team.
I’m hoping that this just means it’ll prompt me for a password after I attempt to sign an agent.
I don’t know. It’s late. But this looks cool (though immensely complicated), and I’ll definitely be putting some time into figuring out the intricacies of the system before (hopefully) the season starts.
One other thing: my market appears to be set to “huge.” Also, not everyone has the same size payroll, although the discrepancies there appear to be small.
I also took the liberty of renaming myself. I hope that’s alright. I’ll be sticking with the “California Blue Sox” for good, so if you don’t mind changing the references to my old team name, zev_steinhardt (I found three: one at the league’s front page, one on the league info page, and one on the blurbs page), I’d much appreciate it.
Sorry to be all nitpicky and stuff. I’ll probably be like this for a while, until I get more comfortable with the game.
Okay, one more thing. I made some lineup changes and they don’t appear to have updated on the team report accessed from the front page. I take it that doesn’t update automatically, it’s a report that you generated and posted yourself, zev_steinhardt?
That’s correct. You upload your team, I consolidate it with the other teams and then generate the reports. It won’t be reflected right away.
I’ll look into the password issue. I may have a setting set incorrectly.
