Recently I downloaded Opera. While browsing the SDMB using it, I noticed spoiler boxes didn’t seem to function properly. They presented as white text on black background without any action on my part to highlight them.
I tried messing with various settings to fix this, but never found any that worked, either it remained the same or wound up making spoiler boxes look just like regular text, with the white background and black text.
Is there any known way to fix this, so the spoiler boxes function normally?
This is not a huge problem, I primarily use other browsers, but if there’s some way to fix it, I’d like to know.
Opera is version 9.50 according to the “about” section of the program, and my OS is XP.
I haven’t seen this problem in 9.5, either, beta or the final version. I know, as Larry Mudd pointed out, that 9.5b had the flashing tables problem, but it seems they cleared that up in the final release. I’m using 9.5 on both XP and Vista.
Opera was a fresh install, so I don’t think reinstalling that will help, but I might give it a try. (And there’s no way I’m reinstalling the OS just for this minor issue if that’s what you meant! )
Thanks for the posts, though, both of you. Helps to let me know the danged boxes work on other people’s systems with the same software.
