I installed this last night on my Palm TX. Works like a charm. Much better for some sites than Blazer.

It’s a little tricky as you have to install WebSphere Java Virtual Environment first. (Out of the download you only need to install J9JavaVMMidp20.prc, PIMPrefs.prc, fileconnect.prc, and pimop.prc)

Regular sites still look like ass in most cases but if you needed to you could read this forum with little eye strain. Slashdot looks pretty good as well.

The interface is slightly clunky but it isn’t bad compared to the others out there. Overall I’d say not bad for a first release.

Here’s hoping more are on the way.

What bothers me is that they did have a real version of Opera for the Palm a couple of years back, but they never did complete development on it, instead making their Java version of it and a PPC version, but no Palm. :mad:

But this version DOES work on Palm OS. I’ve got it running on the TX (OS 5.4).

You have to install the java machine in your palm device first, but after that it works.

I used it over the course of the day. I’m digging it more and more each time.
