I am enjoying my new Thrive tablet and downloaded the Opera browser for it tonight. I love Opera, but I am having an issue I can’t seem to solve. when I go to Facebook it displays the mobile version by default. I really hate the mobile versions of sites and would prefer the desktop version. when I use Opera on my iPhone, there is almost always a link on mobile sites to go to the desktop version, this is true of Facebook except I cannot find that option anywhere when it displays in the tablet. what am I missing?
Can’t help for Opera though I found this workaround which I can’t vouch for.
However if you download Dolphin Browser HD there’s a plugin called Dolphin Desktop Toggle that allows the mobile browser to emulate “Desktop, iPhone, iPad” or a custom setting. It works very well. The only thing that crashes it is Google Images for some reason. I recommend this browser over Opera - it has some really nice features.
Thanks for the help. The link to the workaround fixed the problem. Although I am happy with Opera, I will download and try Dolphin. It might be the next best thing.
