Opinions on electronics kits for children

Does anyone have any ideas on easy-to-handle electronics kits for children in the 5-years range? It’s for my son… at age 3 he knew how to disassemble things with a Phillips-head screwdriver without being taught (much to my alarm). At age 5 he’s now narrating YouTube videos about his trains. I’m not saying he’s exceptional, but I’d be interested to see what he does with electronics that are friendly to the wee ones.

Snap Circuits and Snap Circuits Jr. were very popular with both my kids. They’re a lot of fun and while the don’t require a screw driver, let the kids explore circuitry.

Another vote for Snap Circuits. If your kid is a typical 5 year old, you might want to think about paying a few dollars more and have everything in a case.

That’s awesome. My kids would’ve loved that.

Perfect, Snap Circuits is exactly the thing I was trying to remember. Thanks all.
