Opinions on "My Pillow"?

Please share your experiences with the product known as “My Pillow”. Is it better than your typical pillow? Is it worth the money? Or, is it nothing special?

I haven’t tried My Pillow, but I know it’s shredded memory foam. I have these by Serta that are the same idea, but much, much cheaper - I have four for less than the cost of one My Pillow. I like them pretty well, and either stack two of them, or use one of these and another low-loft pillow. My mother hated these pillows and found them “bumpy” which I do not…that in mind, if you’ve never tried a shredded memory foam pillow before, I’d buy the cheaper ones first to see if you can stand it. If you have a Big Lots in your area, they sell the Serta two-packs too pretty often, and you can squeeze them to see how they feel.

The CEO was and is a vocal supporter of Trump; many reviews of the product, both good and bad, are most likely influenced by this.

There’s a memory foam pillow from Kohl’s called “The Big One”. It’s quite nice, especially the contour one. It routinely gets put on sale for $10. (you have to visit a Kohl’s location to pick it up, though)

I recommend that one. It’s better than the $25 one that was well reviewed on Amazon, and it’s a good pillow.

We have My Pillows and love them. I like to be able to squish my pillow around. I also love that they can be washed and dried. I’ve given them as gifts and everyone has loved them.

Trump and My Pillows?

Got one. It’s ok. You have to mush it around to get comfortable. It was a gift from my wife, so don’t know if it was worth the price.

I wouldn’t try one because they look too poofy for me. I sleep on a wedge, so I just want a mostly flat pillow.

And, frankly, his commercials irritate me, so I wouldn’t buy one for that reason alone.

My MIL got My Pillows for my husband and I awhile ago, telling us we absolutely had to have them, after all, everyone else in the family had them and loved them. IMO, it’s ok, I don’t dislike it, but I’m not sure what all the hype was about.

What more specifically is your question? People were boycotting My Pillow AFAIK.People Are Pissed My Pillow Supports Donald Trump

I’ve met you’re husband.
He’s a lovely fellow.
Just lovely.
Not a wedge at all.

They’ve had some legal trouble over false advertising. They’ve claimed all kinds of medical benefits that are unverified. They claimed some sleep association credentials that were either for associations founded by them or were endorsements that were bought.

Yeah, they did some heavily woo-based marketing and had to pay a penalty for that. That really turns me off about this product. ISTM high end pillows in general have hype-intensive sales pitches. For goodness’ sakes, it’s a pillow!

To be fair, memory foam contour pillows feel a ton different than the $2 bags of fluff you can pick up at walmart. But yeah, whatever design this pillow uses, you can probably get a mass market equivalent that is almost as good for a fraction the cost.

There’s that, and I admit I’m a little skeptical of someone who wears a cross so prominently on the outside of his shirt when he’s hawking a product. I’m always reminded of that line from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, “is it for His glory, or for yours?”

He speaks highly of you, too! :stuck_out_tongue:

Funnily enough, today he was going thru some pics on his computer and came across the shot of you in our basement with the chandelier… Good times!

Yep.

I like the fact that he employs American workers. I like the fact that you can throw them in the washer and dryer, BUT the commercials are so irritating! I don’t know if its that he is blowing his own horn so much, the big mustache or what it is. I just would NEVER buy one from him.

And also the way that price is never mentioned, but that he’ll give you one for free if you buy one of his ($100) pillows.

arrgh

I’d never buy one because they lost BBB accrediation & lost a class action lawsuit over deceptive BOGO offers. There are other pillow manufacturers that aren’t scammers.

The plain base model MyPillow is available at Amazon, Walmart, Target or Bed Bath and Beyond for $50 per single unit.

Which is why the BBB blackballed him – running a faux-BOGO offer on the direct sales.
