I suppose I’m going to have to break down and get my daughter a cell phone one of these days. I’ve heard horror stories about teenagers running up huge bills. I know that Cricket has a flat rate for all your calls and text messaging.
Does anyone use them? Is their service any good? Thanks in advance for your advice.

As for cell phones for teeny-boppers–you KNOW they will go over the allotted minutes at least once. Think I might be inclined to get her one of those “pay as you go” deals. Maybe charge it up for her with a certain amount of time initially, and then provide a set amount per month for additional minutes. If she wants more time than that, she can use her own money to pay for it…
