Opinions wanted about women body builders and muscles on women

Muscular women are fine by me. Of course, when they’ve gotten “ripped” for posing competition, they look grotesque, especially when they flex every muscle in their body. But in every day life, they look fine. Although generally they have very low body fat, which means minimal breasts. That’s a bit of a loss, imho.

I can’t say that body-builder women are a particular turn-on, nor turn-off (except when posing, ick) It’s nice that they’re fit, but beyond a certain point of fitness, there’s no additional attraction.

The lady in the link isn’t quite my style, but she’s certainly not bad looking. Krista, maintainer of this site is hot.

Not body builders, but women who enjoy doing some kind of exercise, such as swimming, martial arts, etc.

I saw a show about women body builders once, there was this gal who had been competing for awhile, huge muscles, but for whatever reason her breasts were completely gone. So she decided to have breast implants. Try to imagine huge chest muscles, with these small silicon blobs on the end. It looked…odd.

ultrafilter I used to visit that woman’s site maybe 3 or 4 years ago (it had training advice), but she changed domain names. It’s nice to see her stuff is still around.

I’m female, and I wish I was a bit more ripped. I loved Linda Hamilton’s look in T2.

Another man weighing in…

Fitness Olympian - Beautiful! YES!

Another Fitness Olympian - Beautiful! YES!

Fitness Olympian 2002 - OF COURSE!

Ms. Olympia - NO! NO! NO! Too Schwartzenegger looking…

Yeticus. Ms. Olympia is honestly the scariest looking female body I’ve ever seen.

Male.

Bulked out women look just as, if not more silly than bulked out men. Both are unappealing to the eye.

Ms. Olympia might look OK if her proportions were OK, but her arms look way too small compared to her legs.

I’m a male. Toned and in shape are good looking, but when I can see the muscles outlined, then it is too much. I’m sorta the Marilyn Monroe appreciation guy for my ideal, but all women are attractive if they are in good shape, but not buff.

Check out the women in the Title 9 Sports catalogs. They’re natural, in great shape, and look wonderful.

Referring to Ms. Olympia…

If you got those “bumpy things” near your crotch, that’s an indicator telling you to “STOP!”; you’re becoming inhumanly ugly!

Also, those shoulders are way too big and wide. You might as well have another job holding up scaffolding or something with those shoulders.

Another thing, the inverted triangle on a woman is sickening - the body shouts out “I’m a man, really I am!”

Oo! Linda Hamilton in T2 was yummy. Really, really pumped up though, male or female, is quite a turn off for me. If you can’t move smoothly, or when you become muscle bound so that your arms can no longer stay against the side of your body while your standing at “attention” I just don’t like it.

I like lean and wirey.

(I’m female, bi.)

100% right. I’m glad I have girls, so we get that catalog! I also like the Kiefer catalog, and other swimming catalogs. Running catalogs tend to have models, not athletes, and those aren’t as fun to leaf through.

Me, I like athletic women. Some swimmers are too big, some runners too scrawny, but most are great. I also like women with big boobs. And I like earth mother women. And dancers. And horse women. And karate women. And …

Ok, I like women.

But not women who cause an SUV to lean, whether it be muscle or fat.

Male.

Athletic is attractive.

Fitness chicks are attractive.

Weightlifters are not attractive.

Of course, there is a lot of slop in those categories–I’m sure you can find women athletes with bodies that I’d not like and weightlifters with bodies I would. But since we’re just grouping them into groups…

Personally, a body type that really gets my motor running are the college gymnasts.

Athletic women are HOT. Women bodybuilders…yecchhh. (I don’t think male bodybuilders are attractive either, FWIW. Too much muscle becomes a turn-off.)

Male here, gut reaction: not attracted.

To clarify my earlier post, IMO the woman in your link is gross. And in case you couldn’t figure it out, I’m a woman.

Male here- I think women bodybuilders are incredibly attractive- the first one linked in the post here I think has a great, attractive body, although I don’t really like her hair… anyway, Body building women are great

O.K., what about the women gladiators who appeared regularly on “American Gladiators”? Not ripped, but still quite large in the shoulders and arms.

Here’s a picture of one in a relaxed pose: http://www.femalemuscle.com/galleries/raye_hollitt/page18.html

If you scroll through the pages you’ll see she looks quite different in each picture, depending on the pose, etc etc.

Just trying to figure out what part of the muscles thing turns people off. Certain kinds of athletes look like this too, btw. If you oiled them up and made them pose they’d look a lot like the bodybuilders.
