If the post you linked to in you OP of this thread originally reproduced the entire essay (or a substantial portion of it), then you did violate copyright law. Unless you got permission from the author/copyright holder of that essay beforehand.
Logical Phallacy, how’s this for a reason:
If you cannot take the time to comment on the essay, why should you expect anyone else to do so?
Yeah, considerations of copyright aside, it’s hard to have a Great Debate with you when you haven’t expressed any opinion. GD OPs that consist of nothing more than a link to an article are boring–what’s the point? Where is the OP coming from, what’s his slant? It’s unknown, so we read the OP, shrug, and hit the Back button.
Let this be a learning experience for you–suck it up, and move on.
