He’s just being tucked into bed by his bag of random small mammals.
More growth for Belkar…
At the GITP forums, Burlew stated the final strip for the book will be posted Monday. This is the 2nd to last strip. OOTS #1188 - The Discussion Thread
Looks like my guess as to the last strip was wrong. And the email from Ookoodook was misleading at best.
Wonder who V is Sending to. Hinjo, probably or perhaps O-Chul.
Yeah, but the way it is cut between the conversation about the Sphinx Pox being cured makes it seem like there might be something else.
All books have ended on a twist or shock revelation. Let’s try and guess this one.
It will be a spoiler if you are right, so please put it in a spoiler box. Head it with “My guess for the twist”
Any replies to the guess also should be spoilered.
My guess for the twist:
Tarquin activates Nale’s clone.
Xykon and co discover the gate.
O-Chul and Lien are discovered.
I think we see Oona and hound and MITD in whatever reveal happens this time. Lien and O-chul lurk nearby. No spoiler because my guess has no plot implications, just a setting.
Hmm
I think we get a hint as to how V is going to pay their karmic debt to the three nasties
Sorry for the false hope of an update.
I got an email letting me know that Ookoodook shipped my Order of the Stick book 6 Utterly Dwarfed.
Just FYI.
Back to the regular waiting.
And now we’ve reached the conclusion of the book. Who in the world are these people?
Wow! Timing!
Is O-Chul Butch or Sundance?
Nice twist.
Feb 3rd? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Sabine and the Imp? Although the imp shouldn’t be able to lift a human but we do know that the Directors want the world to end and were hoping Hel was going to take care of it for them.
I know the voice bubble colors don’t match but… still an obvious guess that it’s Directors-related.
It’s definitely not the imp. He’d never call Sabine the boss. And he might have been able to (in a dream sequence) lift V’s disembodied head, but certainly not hir entire body.
I’m happy to have a date. And maybe he’ll have caught up on whatever else he is doing (patience rewards?) and be able to produce strips at a semi-regular pace then.
True. Maybe Sabine and the new “Appropriate Vessel”.
On the bright side we’re now able to look forward to a thread that ISN’T five and a half years old with more than 6200 posts.
Plus, it gives us two whole months to try to remember how to start a new thread…
For being such a big secret, the Gates and the Snarl are known by quite a few entities in this world. Have we seen green speech bubbles like that before? We never saw the green spiky demon from Girard’s tomb talk, did we? I guess they’re both Outsiders. I would’ve guessed Serini otherwise.
The setup is that RC and Xykon will figure out they’ve been tricked, and blame the MITD. But what if they think Oona did it?
One hell of a DC to beat O-Chul’s Fort save. And it’s nice to see that Invisibility is as ridiculously overpowered in Stickworld as it was in AD&D through 3.5 video games.
Neat. Looking forward to the book and to the saga starting up again in February. Thanks for the thread, everyone.
