Don’t forget that strip 13 says that the Dungeon of Dorukan was created by Xykon, which contradicts the quest backstory later on (and doesn’t really make all that much sense to begin with).
Well, specifically, it’s Elan who says Xykon created the dungeon. So, you know… grain of salt, and all.
Well, regardless of V’s alignment before, I’d say it’s taken a definite giant step to the dark side. Even the kids are afraid of him now – and I don’t blame them.
What really impresses me is the “WTF?!” expression in the eyes of the four fiends in panel #7 when they see what Vaarsuvius is doing.
Not that it makes them unhappy, of course. But the actions of Vaarsuvius manage to surprise even them… I think that says something!
Please explain to me how I managed not to notice that Vaarsuvius’s speech bubbles have had a black background since immediately after the soul splice. :smack:
This whole story arc has added a new activity to my day: feverishly check www.giantitp.com each time I log on and log off my computer. Can’t wait to see where it goes from here!
He’s only updating the strip once or twice per week so you’re being a little enthusiastic. 
I know, but as the days go by, my odds get better and better! Also, the time between new strips is random, so after two days, I start to get antsy. Antsier.

Or so. On average. There have been times when one update has come less than 24 hours after the previous one.
I love how by the end of the strip the evil voices pretty much gave up their attempts at “justifying” V’s actions. “You stared it anyway. Well kind of. This part at least.” I think V just shocked his eviler-than-evil soul splice buddies too.

Yeah, I keep getting page load errors. I think he’s crashing his server every time he posts a new strip now.
It’s not crashing; it’s a bandwidth problem. He’s “slashdotting” his own server. 
A real problem is that he’s serving up each comic as a fairly large gif image. His full page format means each comic view is a large chunk of data to be served up. And it doesn’t help that each new comic involved call backs to earlier ones which send people scrambling back to digging into the archive.
Well, you can’t blame him for the .gif images, it’s either that or png and png is even worse. Text looks terrible on compressed images (especially jpegs) and hurts my eyes (and many other’s). The general rule I learned is “jpeg or other compressed format for straight art, png or gif for ANYTHING involving text” and he seems to be holding to that rule, if the server suffers a little so be it.
Ahhh…now that was a day well-spent, rereading the entire archive. Things make so much more sense without the delays inbetween. None of that “wait…who the hell is this O-Chul guy again?” stuff.
