So I know some liquor stores deliver, especially right now during the pandemic.
What I want is to put together an order where they deliver the beer to me that is getting hard to find and not have it cost me a large amount. Is this doable? The brewer does not deliver.
I assume there might be a distribution system where it is possible to get a decent price and decent shipping charge for a large enough order.
Shipping beer in small amounts is expensive for good reason, and trying to ship various beers from various locations even more so.
Have you tried shopping at Total Wine And More?
ShopRite Liquors usually has good beer (don’t know if they’re down south or if they deliver). Maybe a local bar could help you out – they are in touch with distributors.
Some of the cheaper Porters, Stouts or Bocks. I’m on light duty from a hernia and really shouldn’t handle anything heavier than a 6-pack.
Yuengling Porter can often be had for $6.99 a 6-pack.
Leinenkugels Vanilla Porter 12Pk for $15.99
If I could find it the Saranac Porters are about $8 per 6 pack.
I know but it is, I was hoping to find a delivery service of some sort. Not expecting to, just hoping to.
For me it is the Circus Liquor Store that I need to go to, not that far, but I have to be extra careful. This liquor store has a little fame for have the Scary Clown of Middletown out front.
At least here in the Chicago area, one of the retailers that Instacart serves is a big liquor store. You might want to look to see if they handle one of your local liquor establishments.
