I was looking at the label on a prescription of my wife and it has something called the ‘orig. date’. Does anyone know what this means? I tried to do a search, but with no luck. Is it the date the medication was originally made? Or could it be the date the medicine was originally prescribed?

More to the point, prescriptions expire - regardless of how many refills are left, you can’t refill something over a year after it was prescribed.
