Charles Addams noticed something similar with his cartoons. He always felt that his best cartoons were the one’s which had no caption. The Germans would, however, put “No Caption” beneath the cartoons which didn’t have one. Drove him nuts.
Actually, if my memory can be trusted, none of the lead actors had heads.
Like they used to say in Zork, “'This Space Intentionally Left Blank.”
Hi, Opal!
Ouch.
Wouldn’t want to.
Last time I was in Germany, some of their prime time Satrurday night music shows made David Hasselhoff look like Radiohead, I tell you. They really love their schlager and oom-pah music. It’s like going back to the 1950s, excpet our 1950s were never that bad.
Just be glad there were no 1930s notalgia acts in Germany.
I know, this post is useless…
I’m listening to an Australian radio station and the DJ just announced Herr Hassellhoff’s birthday tomorrow, calling him “the American actor and supposed singer.”
Did you miss this…
David Hasselhoff was actually the coach of the German team, and admonished them for their loss by showing them the framed picture of himself and throwing it to the floor.
Anyhoo…
