Where did the stereotype of the blonde tour guide saying “Buh-bye. Buh-bye now Buh-bye” come from? (It was the Barbie in Toy Story 2, for example.)
For one thing, I think the line is associated more with an airline stewardess than a tour guide.
David Spade did the buh-bye routine on an airline on a continuing basis on SNL, and this would be before Toy Story 2.
I associate it with being David and Helen Hunt, originally… (she was guest hosting.) Was this really the first time on SNL?
