Was Leviathan of Thomas Hobbes originally written in English or Latin?

It was first published in English in 1651, and in Latin in 1668.
Thank you!
So it is from the Latin version that the phrase “Bellum omnium contra omnes” comes from, yes?
It is possible to get a copy of the Latin version?
WRS
free English copy.
Latin copy, a mure $180. No, wait, that’s a diffrent book, De Cive. No idea on the latin, thought here is an impartial copy.
http://web.clas.ufl.edu/users/rhatch/pages/03-Sci-Rev/SCI-REV-Home/sr-research/eebo-science.htm seems to have an electronic copy (at number 378) – the site says it’s available by subscription.
http://www.bibliopoly-search.com/servlets/server?config=bibliopoly&action=MainFrameFromStaticPages&display_action=DisplayBook&book_id=5746137&price=1200.00¤cy=GBP is offering a copy of the first Latin edition at just £1200. I doubt you’ll get a copy much cheaper, even on eBay.
Thanks so much for the info!
Sad they don’t have an economical Latin edition. Ah well. I’ll survive.
