Osama bin Laden and.....Jason Derek Brown?

So I was reading about bin Laden and clicked a Wiki link to the FBI 10 most wanted. Never was there a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. But among the various drug lords, terrorists, and mass murderers, there was Jason Derek Brown.

WTF? You mean to tell me there aren’t 10 people more dangerous and important for the FBI to find than the guido version of Ed Norton? Sure he killed a guy in an armed robbery, but there must be dozens of murders a day! And the guy made off with only $56000? That’s like 3rd place Celebrity Jeopardy money! Why isn’t Ayman Al-Zawahiri on there along with his boss Osama? Or the al-Libi guy they just tried to bomb in Yemen? What is the FBI wasting their top 10 list on a Jersey Shore reject?

He looks quite a bit like Sean Penn. Have they ever been seen together?

They’ve got the Most Wanted Terrorists list for that stuff.

Snap. He looks like Spicolli.

He’s on there because he’s considered, for lack of a better word, catchable.

The FBI isn’t about to put people on a list and then never be able to catch them. They want to make themselves look good. So people on that list will have be within the range of being caught, the sooner the better

 So why was OBL on the list? I mean, sure, we caught him, but it took a hella work (is that how to use that phrase the kids today say?). I’m sure many of us thought for sure we would ahve had him by now (including teh Washington beard man from another thread)

It would properly be “hella work,” not “a hella work.”

There’s some politicking in who does and doesn’t go on the 10 most wanted list, but that’s actually a pretty big haul for an armed robbery. Most bank robbers come away with around $4000 (per Uniform Crime Reports) to about $8000 (per 2003 FBI reports). The premeditation and the execution-style murder were probably larger factors, but $56,000 isn’t too shabby for a days work.

Six bullets and a 56K haul sounds plenty badass to me.

Were I ever to assemble a cabal of like minded singers and musicians and if we came to find ourselves wanting for a collective name…

…then you can say you stole it from George Lucas, back when he was still a good writer

That line’s from Star Wars! Must not be a movie fan huh?

Oh no, I love movies… just not that one.

Seriously, yes I’m an anomaly here by not being a Star Wars freak. But hey, if you’re going to steal, steal from the best I say.
