The email address is osamabinlaaden@hotmail.com. His terrorist group was known to communicate using hotmail in the past.
It seems like he can’t even spell his own name.
Unless osamabinladen@hotmail.com was already in use when he registered…

I could’ve sworn I heard on one of the news stations that they (? InterNic or domain registrars or government) had blocked any names from being registered that might be a source for abuse on the net…no confirmation since I’ve taken in so much news this week I can barely think at the moment.

I thought his hosts, the Taliban, had outlawed Internet use? Yes, I distinctly remember folks being puzzled by this dictate because the Taliban themselves were the only ones in Afghanistan likely to have access to it, anyway.
Anyway, maybe the double “a” is the way he personally spells it and we evil Westerners just drop the extra “a” to save a space of precious newsprint.
I swear, at least half of the rules in the AP Stylebook are there to save exactly one character’s worth of space.

just read the “email.” Why the hell would he write it in English, especially if it’s being addressed to Pakistani news media? (it doesn’t appear to be translated, as the editor refers to specific phrases being original)
