[11] Fantasia (Disney, 1940)

[2] The Usual Suspects (Singer, 1995)

Glad you brought this back. I was just wondering the other day what happened to this Maddness.

1928-1947
[1] The Wizard of Oz (Fleming, 1939)
[11] Fantasia (Disney, 1940)

Wizard of Oz is just a better movie that Grapes of Wrath. And I am picking Fantasia because I am an animation geek. Sunrise is probably the better objective choice.

1948-1967
[1] Sunset Blvd. (Wilder, 1950)
[3] The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (Huston, 1948)

Two coin flip choices for me. Sunset Blvd has everything going for it though in terms of impact and influence, while High Noon only has almost everything going for it.

And while I love Mockingbird, I have to go with Bogey.
1968-1987
[4] Apocalypse Now (Coppola, 1979)
[7] Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (Hill, 1969)

Anyone who disagrees can jump in a lake. :stuck_out_tongue: I love Star Wars and Raiders. I was at one point a big enough Lucas fan to put 1138 into my user name for no good reason. But these are two of the finest movies ever made in America.
1988-2007
[1] The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Jackson, 2001)
[2] The Usual Suspects (Singer, 1995)
I hate this bracket. Two movies that are fairly meh (LOTR and SPR) and two of my all time favorite movies.

I really hate Saving Private Ryan. and picking the usual suspects over Fargo was literally a coin flip (Fargo was tails, it lost).
