I can’t get a definitive answer on how Oscar voting works: who decides the nominees and who is eligible to vote in which categories for the winners.
Some things I’ve read say that only editors (for example) determine the editor nominees; and then everyone in all categories (actors, directors, etc) vote for the Best Editor. But then I have read other explanations that conflict with that. The Oscar website it strangely silent on the topic. Does anyone have the inside scoop on this?
thanks.
