Other than the obvious, who is screwed by a Trump win?

Anything sciences (except maybe NASA). NSF funding, those evil vaccines, higher education… if there’s anything about the coming wave, it’s an anti-intellectual one.

Yeah, might be a good time to peruse openings at Meade.
Could you qualify for a clearance?

This thread is interesting only for seeing people’s “die on the sword” issues.

Society’s moochers and leeches certainly got the short end of the stick.

Do you think SNL will be *allowed *to continue with their treasonous behaviour any longer? President Trump does not like to be mocked.

Oh, please do elaborate, I beg you.

Possibly. On the other hand, he’s promised to repeal or weaken Dodd-Frank, which is going to screw everybody who isn’t a banker.
Any hope for net neutrality is probably gone.
Abortion, and probably various types of birth control Republicans don’t like are going to become unavailable or illegal.

You mean the elderly who collect more welfare than anyone? They supported Trump.

As an outsider I have to wonder just how confusing Americans find their own electoral system.
Half of you don’t vote. That’s ridiculous.

And of those that do just listened to a guy who had “Drain the swamp” as a motto and proceeded to re-elect the party that has controlled the Senate and House through most of the worst economic times in the past 25 years.

I’m very concerned about changes to health insurance. In particular, bringing back exclusions for previous conditions would be catastrophic.

If I had a dollar for all the ludicrous exaggerations I’ve read on this board today I’d have made a tidy sum by now. This is yet another.

I understand our electoral system, I just think it’s stupid.

The same for people who voted for trump because they don’t like Hillary.

I weep mostly for the planet’s environment. Trump and Pence both are climate change and science deniers.

No, not Julian Assange (Wikileaks), but Edward Snowden. The one who probably did commit a crime in the U.S. by running away with state secrets, and who both major parties explicitly want to put on trial. I don’t think he really intervened in this campaign at all. There’s now a possibility, in my view, that Putin would have him delivered to the U.S. embassy in Moscow as a gesture of good will.

Other than the obvious, who is screwed by a Trump win?

These (read on Al Jazeera TV today):

European stocks plunge
Asian stocks drop

U.S. dollar sinks

What part of 'drain the swamp" don’t you understand?

Theresa May, our Prime Minister, had to do a bit of grovelling today.

As a Federal employee, I worry a lot about my benefits, especially retirement. The House Republicans keep wanting to reduce and eliminate our benefits and now with a Republican president, they have more of a chance to do so

Canada.

More like a pardon, especially maybe for services rendered in the recent e-mail hacks.
